GoldExpat CFE: Expat insurance in addition to the CFE
Take care of yourself and your family abroad. Get very good guarantees at the best price with our GoldExpat insurance, CFE (Caisse des Français abroad) supplemental expat insurance! Taking out health insurance in addition to the CFE allows French expatriates to be better covered than with the simple coverage of the Caisse des Français de l’Aranger. Indeed, the CFE is based on the reimbursement rates of the French social security, much lower compared to the medical rates practiced in some countries, such as the United States.
Finally, be aware that there is no obligation for you to join the CFE: in some cases, it is more financially attractive to take out international health insurance for expatriates in the 1st Euro rather than to join the CFE and CFE at the same time.
