On January 1, 2021, the agreement signed on December 30, 2020 between the European Union and the United Kingdom comes into force. It sets out the rules applicable to relations between the European Union and the United Kingdom in a number of areas, including the conditions under which foreign students may be admitted to the UK. European students will no longer be able to benefit from reduced tuition fees, and will have to pay the same fees as foreign students – an increase of around 3 times the cost of studying in the UK…
What about European students who want to go to the UK?
The consequences are being felt, with a net slowdown in migration flows to the UK and a drop in international student enrolments in England. The conditions will become clearer in 2021. Will I need a visa? A residence card? What new difficulties will there be in working in the region? Which health insurance for the UK?
International students in the UK and British students abroad
The Erasmus program was discontinued by the UK and replaced by the Turing program. Conditions will be specified as we go along.
