Since 2010, “le repas gastronomique des français” has been inscribed on UNESCO’s Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. The French art of “eating well” and “drinking well” has now been officially recognized worldwide.

This culinary aura is also evident in pop culture. Have you ever heard an actor in an English film pronounce the words “crêpes”, “cabernet sauvignon” or “escargot” in the French way? Thanks to this international recognition, the first edition of the “Goût de France / Good France” operation was organized by Michelin-starred chef Alain Ducasse. Once again, the event put the spotlight on French gastronomy around the world. Some 1,300 foreign chefs from all 5 continents took part, offering 100% French menus in their restaurants for the evening.
