A little presentation?

A&G Backpackers is a Moroccan couple who love to travel. AG for Amine and Ghita. On the road, we celebrated our 30th and 28th birthdays respectively.

What is your professional background?

Amine studied Telecoms Engineering in France and has 6 years’ experience with cell phone operators. Ghita studied business in France and then in the UK, with 3 years’ experience in an American IT consulting firm.

Why did you set off around the world?

And why not? We love traveling, making discoveries and meeting new people. In fact, we traveled a lot before this world tour. We’ve always wanted to go away for several months and circumnavigate the world, and we talked about it for 2 or 3 years before deciding to do it.

Which country or countries did you prefer? Why?

It’s a very difficult question to answer, but if we had to choose just one country, we’d say India. India for its culture, traditions and people. Just go out into the street and every day is a new story.

Did you have any doubts, and how did you deal with them?

We had our doubts about our plans, which we were able to manage easily over time. We stopped planning so we wouldn’t have any more doubts.

What’s your fondest travel memory?

Our fondest memory is the wedding of an Indian friend in Thailand. We lived a daydream for 3 days in a 5-star hotel.

An assessment today: what have you gained from this round-the-world trip?

This round-the-world trip enabled us not only to open up to other cultures and traditions, meet new people and make new friends, but also to create a certain complicity in our relationship.

Anything else you’d like to add?

If you like meeting people, sharing and discovering, give yourself the means to travel for a long time. The experience of a long trip is completely different from a 2 or 3 week vacation. You’ll experience different, magical moments. You’ll be satisfied with very little, and that’s the charm of the trip.
