• Local diseases:

Pneumonia in the region of Brescia, Dengue virus and Chikungunya in the Emilia-Romagna region.

• Best time to visit Italy

The best periods to discover Italy are the inter-seasons: spring and autumn, but the south can also be visited during the winter thanks to the mild temperatures.

• Security:

- Risk of pickpocketing
- High seismic risk
- Volcanic risk in the south, Sicily, and the Aeolian Islands
- The high tides of Venice

• Entry requirements:

For a stay of three months maximum, French citizens must be in possession of a valid identity document (national identity card or passport).

• To expatriate in Italy:

If you are EU citizens you will not need a visa to settle in Italy. You will not need a work permit either.
However, you will have to apply for a "tax code" from Agenzia delle Entrate to work in Italy.
The certificate of registration in the civil status of the municipality of residence (Residenza) is required to expatriate in Italy. Once acquired, it entitles you to health coverage and facilitates the rest of the administrative procedures.
